We love to entertain and Grey Cup and Super Bowl are perfect times to eat some really bad ass foods, stuff you wouldn't normally eat.
This past Super Bowl, we wanted to watch a great game and make sure everyone was nice and full by the time they left. The thing with party food is you don't want to serve anything that is too troublesome to eat while keeping an eye on the game. Because of this we opted for nachos, Keven's Kickass (chicken) Chili, Crispy Buffalo Chicken Wings and vegetables and dip, which I think is a de-facto standard for any party.
I hate to write a recipe on nachos, everyone has their own favourite toppings to put on. So I'd rather leave that to your own imagination. One tip to pass on to you is: Sprinkle the nachos with DIY Taco Seasoning before you put the toppings on, this gives the nacho chips a nice tex-mex flavour.
When it comes to wings, I usually serve up 3 different kinds. My defaults tend to be, Frank's Red Hot Buffalo WIng Sauce (so much faster and easier than making your own), Honey Garlic and BBQ Sauce.
If you opt to make my chili recipe (which I did, of course) and you'd prefer to use chicken instead of ground beef, use twice as much meat. I was lucky enough to have another pound of ground chicken to add. Before I did, it seemed a bit too soupy and lacking enough meat to really be considered a good chili. Chicken chili is great to serve at a party so those that don't eat red meat can still enjoy it.
So enjoy the game, your guests and most importantly the food!
